New Delhi, July 13 -- The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), India has taken suo motu cognizance of three separate incidents involving loss of lives and injuries in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand, and issued notices to the concerned state authorities seeking detailed reports within two weeks.

The Commission has sought reports from the Madhya Pradesh Chief Secretary and Ujjain Superintendent of Police over the reported death of a worker and injuries to two others after inhaling toxic gases while cleaning a sewer chamber in Ujjain district.
