Ranchi, June 27 -- The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has intensified work on the Basukinath-Deoghar section of National Highway-114A ahead of Shravani Mela 2026, focusing on road safety and improved travel facilities for lakhs of pilgrims.

A 45.159-km four-lane project is under construction between Basukinath and Deoghar to facilitate safer and smoother travel for devotees visiting Baba Baidyanath Dham and Basukinath Temple during the annual pilgrimage.

As part of the project, NHAI is developing a dedicated 36.044-km, 3.5-metre-wide Kanwariya path for pilgrims carrying holy water from Sultanganj.
