Chandigarh, March 18 -- A high-level committee appointed by the National Green Tribunal (NGT) conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Buddha Darya in Punjab's Ludhiana to assess the extent of illegal encroachments and persistent pollution levels.

The visit, aimed at monitoring the execution of environmental restoration projects, saw the participation of environmental activists from the Public Action Committee (PAC), who presented critical evidence regarding ongoing violations.
