New Delhi, June 3 -- In a major initiative to preserve and showcase India's cinematic heritage on the global stage, the National Film Development Corporation-National Film Archive of India (NFDC-NFAI) has completed the 4K restoration of all eight feature films directed by legendary filmmaker Ritwik Ghatak.

The restored classics will be presented to international audiences through a special retrospective in partnership with the British Film Institute (BFI) at BFI Southbank in London beginning this month.
