Patna, Sept. 21 -- Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Monday said the next panchayat elections in the state would be held only after completion of the delimitation process.
Addressing a 'Mukhiya Samvad' programme organised under the 'Gram Sansad-Bihar Chapter', Choudhary said the State Election Commission had already initiated the process of delimitation of panchayats.
He said a similar exercise would be undertaken for urban local bodies next year to ensure clear demarcation of panchayat and municipal areas.
He said the government was working towards having a panchayat for a population of around 7,500.
