Dehradun, July 31 -- Preparations for the upcoming assembly elections in Uttarakhand have gained momentum as the office of the Uttarakhand Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) has finalied the election plan and sourced additional EVMs from Bihar while officials posted at one place for three years of more will be transferred to other places.
EVMs procured from Bihar are being sent to the districts prior to their first-level check (FLC) and training of the electoral officials likely to take place in September.
Amid ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls in the state, Election Commission of India has started preparations for 2027 assembly polls in Uttarakhand.
