Houston, June 21 -- Brian Brobbey and Cody Gakpo struck braces as the Netherlands produced a commanding display to thrash Sweden 5-1 and move to the top of Group F in the FIFA World Cup here.

The Dutch seized control from the outset, with Brobbey scoring in the fifth and 17th minutes to put Sweden on the back foot. Netherlands carried the momentum into the second half as Gakpo netted in the 47th and 54th minutes, extending the lead to 4-0 and effectively ending the contest.

Sweden briefly reduced the deficit through Anthony Elanga in the 59th minute, but the comeback never materialised. Substitute Crysencio Summerville capped an impressive outing with a fine solo effort in the 89th minute to complete the 5-1 rout.
