Chennai, Aug. 27 -- Tamil Nadu School Education, Tamil Development, Information and Publicity Minister A.Rajmohan on Thursday informed the State Assembly that a total of 106 pilgrims--103 from Tamil Nadu and three from Puducherry--went on a pilgrimage to Nepal of which 20 were rescued safely, while the whereabouts of the remaining 86 tourists, caught in the sudden flood fury and left stranded/missing, were being ascertained.
Replying to a Special Calling Attention motion given notice of by members of various parties on the fate of stranded/missing pilgrims from the state, the Minister said the TN government has taken all measures to rescue and bring back all the 103 pilgrims to the state.
