Dimapur, Sept. 20 -- The first North East Education Conclave on NEP 2020 at Chumoukedima called for greater support from both state governments and the Centre to bridge the existing gaps in educational infrastructure in implementing the new education policy across the region.

In the two-day conclave, which concluded on Saturday evening, academicians and policymakers from the Northeast deliberated on various aspects of the policy to create a roadmap and strategies for its successful implementation in the region.

It was agreed that establishing a dedicated forum of education ministers of the Northeast would be an important step toward driving educational transformation in the region.
