Jagdalpur, July 17 -- A 20-year-old NEET aspirant allegedly died by suicide after failing to clear the medical entrance examination in Chhattisgarh's Bastar district, police said on Friday.
A suicide note was recovered from the spot, in which she reportedly referred to her inability to qualify for the examination and the expectations of her family. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway.
According to police, the deceased, Surla Harika Rao Naidu, was a resident of Adawal Khaspara under the Bodhghat police station limits. She had been preparing for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) for the past three years with the dream of becoming a doctor.
