Varanasi, July 25 -- Anticipating floods in Uttar Pradesh, the government has alerted the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and other agencies for undertaking relief and rescue operations.
The 11th Battalion of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) based in Varanasi is fully prepared to deal with potential floods.
According to the NDRF, teams have been pre-positioned in vulnerable areas as part of the pre-positioning plan. The 11th Battalion is responsible for relief and rescue operations in 42 districts of Uttar Pradesh.
