Lucknow, Sept. 5 -- Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National General Secretary and Uttar Pradesh in-charge Vinod Tawde on Saturday asserted that the party would return to power in the state for a third consecutive term, as he began his first visit to the State after taking charge.
Tawde, accompanied by co-in-charge Jagdish Patel, met senior party leaders at the BJP's state headquarters in Lucknow, where he received a warm welcome.
Addressing his first meeting with state leaders, Tawde said the BJP has emerged as the world's largest political party under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also praised the Uttar Pradesh government, saying development in the State had gained momentum under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
