Bengaluru, July 6 -- Alleging that the integrity of Karnataka's ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls has been compromised, NDA leaders on Monday claimed Booth Level Officers (BLOs) were bypassing the Election Commission's mandatory door-to-door verification and conducting the exercise in violation of prescribed guidelines.
An NDA delegation, comprising union Ministers Pralhad Joshi and HD Kumaraswamy, Leader of Opposition R Ashoka and Karnataka BJP president Vijayendra Yediyurappa, met Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer V Anbukkumar and submitted a joint representation urging immediate corrective measures.
