Bhubaneswar, May 9 -- Odisha Vigilance has earned the distinction of being one of the top-performing anti-corruption agencies in the country, securing leading positions across several key parameters in the recently published Crime in India-2024 report of the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), said officials on Friday.
The annual NCRB report places Odisha Vigilance second in the country in detection and registration of Disproportionate Assets (DA) cases, highlighting the agency's intensified crackdown on corrupt public servants.
Vigilance officials said registration of DA cases involves extensive verification of assets, income sources and financial transactions, reflecting the agency's sustained investigative efforts.
