Kolkata, Aug. 8 -- In a significant political development two minority MPs of the National Citizens Party of India (NCPI), who had recently left the Trinamool Congress, met West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari at Nabanna on Saturday, a day after attending a breakfast meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.
Murshidabad MP Abu Taher Khan and Jangipur MP Khalilur Rahman reached Nabanna around noon and held discussions with Adhikari.
According to NCPI sources, the two MPs raised issues related to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Murshidabad and also apprised the chief minister of various problems affecting their constituencies.
