Gadchiroli, June 19 -- Amid the ongoing political turmoil surrounding the alleged "Operation Tiger" over six Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs reportedly moving closer to the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena faction, senior NCP leader Dharmarao Baba Atram has made a sensational claim that further political realignments could soon shake Maharashtra.
Atram, of the Ajit Pawar faction, alleged that the Sharad Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP-SP) could face a split by December 12, with as many as five MPs potentially joining Ajit Pawar's NCP faction.
He also suggested that the Congress party in Maharashtra is facing internal challenges and could be vulnerable to defections in the future.
