Srinagar, Sept. 8 -- National Conference (NC) president Farooq Abdullah, Vice President and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, along with senior party leaders, MPs, MLAs and party workers, on Tuesday paid floral tributes to party founder Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah on his death anniversary.
The NC leaders also offered Fateha and floral tributes at the grave of Begum Akbar Jehan, wife of Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah.
Paying tributes to Sheikh, the party leaders said his death anniversary was a reminder of his "revolutionary role" in inspiring the oppressed and deprived people of Jammu and Kashmir to challenge the feudal system and seek dignity, political autonomy, social justice and economic equality.
