New Delhi, Aug. 10 -- Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Krishna Swaminathan embarked on a four-day official visit to Mauritius, beginning Monday. The visit is aimed at further strengthening bilateral maritime cooperation and deepening defence ties between the two countries.
The visit comes as India continues to accord high priority to its maritime partnership with Mauritius, a key partner in the Indian Ocean Region. During his stay, Admiral Swaminathan is scheduled to meet senior leaders of the Mauritian government and hold discussions on a range of issues of mutual interest, including maritime security, defence cooperation, capacity building and military collaboration.
