Parwinder SandhuNew Delhi, Oct. 29 -- The Indian Army has debunked a digitally manipulated video circulating on social media that falsely attributes critical remarks about India's military preparedness against China to Lt Gen Neeraj Shukla, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Gajraj Corps, warning against attempts to spread misinformation by exploiting sensitive border issues.
In a fact-check issued through its official fact-checking handle, the Army said the video was an old recording from October 2025 that had been digitally altered to make it appear that the senior Army officer was questioning India's ability to counter China's military capabilities and its growing presence in Arunachal Pradesh.
