Bhubaneswar, July 30 -- Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president Naveen Patnaik on Thursday criticised the BJP government over its handling of the flood situation in Odisha, questioning the presence of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and other senior BJP leaders in New Delhi while large parts of the state remained inundated.
In a post on X, the former chief minister asked whether Odisha's BJP leaders were "feasting in Delhi" even as people across several districts battled the impact of relentless rains and floods.
Patnaik said residents of districts including Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Dhenkanal and Sambalpur were facing severe hardship, while reports of multiple deaths had left the people of Odisha deeply anguished.
