Ankara, July 9 -- NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte described the alliance's summit in Ankara as "tremendously successful", saying member countries had moved from making commitments to delivering concrete results on defence, industrial capacity and collective security.

Speaking at a press conference after the summit, Rutte said the meeting demonstrated that NATO "delivers" on decisions taken to strengthen the alliance, while praising Turkiye for hosting the event.

"The message from this summit is simple: NATO delivers," Rutte said, adding that allies were increasing investments, developing new capabilities and expanding defence production.
