Bengaluru, June 27 -- Shifting away from conventional measures of national strength centred on military capability and economic dominance, the World Intellectual Foundation (WIF) has proposed a new global framework that seeks to evaluate countries on the basis of responsibility rather than power.

Chairman of WIF and former Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi said that most global indices in circulation today are shaped by assessments prepared by powerful and wealthy nations, often reflecting criteria such as arms strength, economic influence and strategic reach.
