Bengaluru, June 16 -- The National Herald controversy resurfaced on Tuesday as Karnataka BJP leader Vijayendra Yediyurappa launched a sharp counterattack on Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge over his remarks questioning the transparency of the RSS, intensifying the political confrontation in the state.

Reacting to Kharge's criticism of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Vijayendra Yediyurappa said it was "ironic" for the Congress leader to raise questions on transparency while the National Herald case remained a continuing point of political debate.
