Nashik, Sept. 13 -- A 27-year-old man died of an electric shock while on a family outing at a resort in the Gangapur-Govardhan area of Nashik. The incident occurred when he climbed onto a tin roof to jump into the swimming pool and came into contact with high-voltage power lines.

The deceased has been identified as Tejas Sanjay Jagtap, a resident of Gaikwad Complex in Shivajinagar, Satpur.

According to Nashik Taluka police, the Gaikwad family had booked Samruddhi Resort in the Gangapur-Govardhan area on September 11. Between midnight and 3 a.m., Tejas climbed onto the adjacent tin roof to jump into the swimming pool. As he prepared to jump, he came into contact with high-voltage electricity lines passing near the roof.
