Nashik, April 8 -- Maharashtra Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule today issued directives to immediately resolve the difficulties encountered in the land acquisition process for the proposed Highway 160-A (Ghoti Bu. to Trimbakeshwar) project in Nashik district, and to create a dedicated zone to ensure that farmers receive fair and just compensation.
He also explicitly stated that no injustice should be meted out to any farmer.
He was speaking at a meeting held at the Ministry regarding the land acquisition for the highway project.
Nashik District Collector Ayush Prasad attended the meeting via video conferencing, while members of the Farmers' Action Committee also participated.
