Nashik, June 21 -- In a fatal incident that occurred late at night in the Belgaon Dhaga area of Nashik Taluka, a car ran over an elderly man sleeping outside the Gram Panchayat office. The incident was captured on CCTV.
The deceased has been identified as Punaji Rajaram Potinde, aged around 60 to 65 years.
According to reports, a white WagonR car arrived in the Gram Panchayat premises around midnight. Due to the driver's negligence, the vehicle ran over the sleeping elderly man.
It has been reported that the driver fled the scene immediately.
