Jammu, June 17 -- Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday arrested two drug peddlers with a contraband of 1 kg of charas (cannabis) in the Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The police spokesman here said that under the supervision of SSP Kathua Mohita Sharma, while continuing the "War on Drugs", concrete efforts were made to eradicate the drug menace from society, and in consequence, J&K Police recovered 1 kg of charas near the Basohli Morh area, Lakhanpur, and arrested two drug peddlers.

The vehicle they were riding on was also seized.
