Bhubaneswar, Sept. 7 -- National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, on Monday signed an agreement with Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) in Dubai to deploy EGA's UAE-developed DX Ultra aluminium smelting technology for its 0.5 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) brownfield smelter expansion project at Angul in Odisha.

The Technology Licensing Agreement was signed in the presence of NALCO Chairman-cum-Managing Director Brijendra Pratap Singh and EGA Chief Executive Officer Abdulnasser Bin Kalban.
