Nagpur, Sept. 9 -- Tension prevailed in Nagpur on Wednesday after police stopped Maharashtra Youth Congress workers marching towards the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) headquarters during the party's 'Samvidhan Samman Yatra', organised to protest the Manusmriti and to uphold constitutional values.
The protest comes amid a political row over the purification of a ground following a rally addressed by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge in Haldwani, Uttarakhand.
The march, organised by the Maharashtra Youth Congress, began from the NIT Employees Cultural Hall and proceeded towards the RSS headquarters at Reshimbagh.
