Nagpur, June 12 -- : A retired banker from Nagpur has donated Rs 25.51 lakh to the Indian Army Central Welfare Fund after the passing of his wife brought an end to the couple's long-awaited dream of travelling the world post-retirement.
Shrikant Sahasrabuddhe, now in his seventies, had carefully accumulated the amount over the years, hoping to embark on an international tour with his wife after retiring from service.
Tragically, she died six months before his retirement, leaving their shared aspiration unrealised.
