Nagpur, Sept. 10 -- A 22-year-old engineering student died after allegedly falling from the Sakkardara flyover in east Nagpur on Thursday morning, police said.

The deceased was identified as Prajeet Bhimrao Wahane, a city resident pursuing engineering studies.

According to police, the incident occurred at around 10:15 am when Wahane allegedly lost control of his two-wheeler and fell from the flyover alongwith his two wheeler, under the jurisdiction of the Sakkardara Police Station.

Passersby alerted the authorities, following which he was rushed to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

However, he succumbed to his injuries during treatment, police said.
