Ballari, Aug. 28 -- The BJP's decision to go ahead with its proposed padayatra in Ballari even if B. Nagendra's resignation is accepted has turned the Valmiki Corporation controversy into a larger political challenge for the ruling Congress in Karnataka.
The BJP has made it clear that Nagendra's resignation alone will not end its agitation, with former ministers B. Sriramulu and G. Janardhana Reddy insisting that the padayatra would continue, taking up the alleged irregularities in the Karnataka Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation along with other issues against the Congress government.
