Bengaluru, Aug. 19 -- Karnataka Minister B Nagendra on Wednesday accused the BJP of targeting him because he is a Dalit and tribal leader and demanded that the Opposition stop declaring him guilty in the Valmiki Corporation case when the matter is still before the court.
Reacting to BJP protests in the Assembly seeking his resignation, Nagendra said he had been granted bail and the court had not declared him guilty.
"I am not a criminal. The court has granted me bail and I have come out of jail. The court has not said that I am guilty," he said at a press conference in Vidhana Soudha.
