Mumbai, May 23 -- Veteran South Indian film actor Nagarjuna Akkineni has completed four decades in the film industry. He commemorated the milestone with a reflective message centred on a date that holds enduring emotional and professional resonance for him.

He shared that May 23 holds special meaning for him, as it was on this date in 1986 that his debut film 'Vikram' was released, officially launching him as a lead actor in Telugu cinema.

He considers this day to be the foundation of his film journey. Furthermore, this date also holds another emotional memory, as on this day, his film "Manam" was released, which was the last film of his father, the legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao.
