Dimapur, May 18 -- Nagaland tourism department presented an overview of its key initiatives, achievements, challenges, and future plans to Governor Nand Kishore Yadav at a review meeting of the department at Lok Bhavan in Kohima on Monday.
During the meeting, secretary, tourism, Nchumbemo Lotha briefed the governor on the progressof tourism development in Nagaland, highlighting various initiatives aimed at strengthening the state's position as a leading destination for eco-tourism, cultural tourism and community-based tourism.
The department reiterated its vision of promoting sustainable tourism that preserves the state'srich cultural heritage while protecting its natural environment.
