Dimapur, Aug. 21 -- Nagaland's power department signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Tvaksas Renewable Pvt Ltd to set up a 20MW solar power plant at Tizit in Mon district.
The agreement was signed at the Nagaland civil secretariat conference hall on Thursday, a release said on Friday.
Chief engineer (T&G), Nitovi A Wotsa, during the programme, highlighted that the present peak demand of Nagaland is 203 MW, which is expected to reach 482MW by 2034-35.
Accordingly, he said, the state government has drawn out its plan to enhance generation capacity to meet this demand.
