Dimapur, Aug. 19 -- Nagaland's directorate of school education on Tuesday made it mandatory to qualify in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) on or before August 31, 2028.
The directorate said all categories of primary and graduate teachers appointed prior to the enactment of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009 (RTE Act, 2009) and having more than five years to retire on superannuation as on September 1, 2025, will have to mandatorily qualify in the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET).
