Dimapur, March 2 -- Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio made obituary references to the passing of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Anantrao Pawar during the eighth session of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly in Kohima on Monday.
Rio described Pawar as a seasoned and capable leader who dedicated his life to public service and worked for the welfare of the people of Maharashtra.
"He played an important role in shaping policies in finance, irrigation and power, and was known as a firm decision-maker who promoted economic growth," Rio said.
The Chief Minister also made an obituary reference to the passing of Imkong L. Imchen, former minister and sitting member of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly, describing him as a bold, ...
