Dimapur, Sept. 14 -- Noklak DC P Mono Khiamniungan on Monday said temporary restoration work on the Lein bridge along the Noklak-Panso road via Lengnyu/Tsuwao in eastern Nagaland has been completed and opened for movement of light vehicles.

The bridge, an important transportation lifeline, collapsed on July 19 due to heavy rains in the upstream, cutting off the surrounding villages completely.

In a circular, the DC said the bridge is presently motorable for light vehicles only.

All commuters, vehicle owners and drivers have been advised to maintain a safe speed, avoid overloading and use the bridge with due caution and safety measures.
