Dimapur, July 13 -- An Assam Rifles personnel was killed and four others were seriously injured after unidentified people allegedly triggered a suspected IED blast near Sukhovi village in Chumoukedima district today.
A civilian also suffered minor injury in his leg due to the explosion, which occurred in afternoon around 2 pm.
According to eyewitnesses, the blast originated from an autorickshaw when the Assam Rifles vehicles were passing through the area. The three-wheeler was completely damaged in the explosion.
