Shillong, June 5 -- union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Jagat Prakash Nadda on Friday chaired a Parliamentary Consultative Committee here in Meghalaya to discuss ways to improve various aspects of child health policies in India.
Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Anupriya Patel and several Lok Sabha members also attended the meeting which focused on various matters related to child health programme in India.
While, appreciating the initiatives taken by the central government and achievements in reduction of MMR, IMR, Under 5 Mortality Rate, Neonatal Mortality Rate, etc. the members of the Committee shared their insights and gave their valuable suggestions.
