Aizawl, Sept. 14 -- The Mizo Zirlai Pawl (MZP), Mizoram's apex students' body, on Monday announced that petrol pumps in Mizoram allegedly operated by non-Mizos, or employing non-Mizo operators, would face closure from September 17, escalating its ongoing confrontation with the All Mizoram Petroleum Dealers Association (AMPEDA).
The student body directed its headquarters, sub-headquarters, branches and affiliated student organisations across the state to identify petrol pumps that fall under the category and record, where necessary, the names of their owners and the non-Mizo business partners operating them.
