Muzaffarpur, June 5 -- The death toll in the devastating fire that broke out in the ICU of Prasad Hospital in Muzaffarpur's Brahmpura area on Thursday has risen to six, with the death of one more person.
Police said here today that 17 others sustained injuries and are undergoing treatment at various hospitals.
The police have arrested three key officials of the hospital following preliminary investigations into the incident.
Those arrested include ICU in-charge Dr. Pankaj, Administrative Manager Ram Kumar and Maintenance Manager Ajit Kumar.
According to police, the three allegedly failed to discharge their responsibilities adequately at the time of the incident.
