Kalaburagi, Aug. 6 -- Amid intense lobbying over the Karnataka Cabinet expansion, Muslim religious leaders, businessmen and social activists from the Kalyana Karnataka region on Thursday mounted pressure on the Congress leadership, demanding immediate representation for the community in the State Cabinet and accusing the party of reducing Muslims to a "mere vote bank."Addressing a press conference here, Jamiat-e-Ulema Hind district president Maulana Shareef Mazaheri said the Congress owed the Muslim community a fair share in political power, asserting that its consistent electoral backing had played a decisive role in the party's victories across Kalyana Karnataka.
