New Delhi, March 20 -- The Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested a Rs 50,000-rewarded proclaimed offender who was wanted in a brutal murder case registered at the Sarita Vihar police station, an officer said on Friday.

According to the police, the accused, Vijay Patro, had been absconding since 2023 in connection with the FIR, filed under multiple sections of the IPC, including murder and unlawful assembly.

A court declared him a proclaimed offender on July 25, 2025, after he evaded arrest for nearly two years, the police said.
