Aizawl, Sept. 1 -- A 20-year-old man arrested in connection with the murder of a 15-year-old girl in Mizoram's Lunglei district has escaped from police custody, prompting a search operation.
Denghmingthanga, a resident of Mualthuam North village, reportedly escaped at around midnight on Monday while in police custody in connection with the murder of a girl. Police launched an immediate search after the escape was detected, but he remained at large at the time of filing this report.
