Mumbai, Aug. 4 -- A human milk bank at Mumbai's Cama Hospital has emerged as a lifeline for thousands of newborns, successfully providing donor breast milk to more than 7,000 babies, including premature infants and those admitted to Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs).
Over the past three years, the hospital's Human Milk Bank has collected more than 1,200 litres of donated breast milk from lactating mothers.
The donated milk has played a crucial role in improving the survival and recovery of vulnerable newborns who are unable to receive their mother's milk.
