Pune, May 11 -- Accepting the challenge of using the power of Artificial Intelligence to solve real-world problems, the national-level hackathon competition "IGNISIA-2026" was held recently at the MIT World Peace University here.

In the competition, Mumbai's Braun GP team won first place for their solutions to fintech-related problems, while MIT-WPU's "Beyond Bits" secured the runner-up position, and "TriStack Overflow" from Manipal University, Karnataka, won the second runner-up position. Both teams delivered outstanding performances in the SMEO2 challenge, according to a release.
