Mumbai, July 30 -- In a major step toward enhancing the safety of women traveling late at night or returning home from odd-hour shifts, the Mumbai Police has officially rolled out specialized 'Buddy Cop Squads' across all police stations in the metropolis.
Reflecting a zero-tolerance policy toward crimes against women, the initiative-conceptualized earlier this year-has seen full-scale implementation to provide a 24x7 security blanket for female commuters and night-shift workers.
