Mumbai, May 29 -- Mumbai Police have arrested two persons from Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district in connection with the theft of gold worth more than Rs 1.28 crore from a jewellery manufacturing company in Kandivali West, officials said on Friday.
According to police, the accused were employees of the jewellery manufacturing unit and allegedly stole the gold before fleeing to Poonch district near the India-Pakistan border.
Following a complaint lodged at Charkop police station, investigators used intelligence inputs and technical surveillance to trace the accused to Jammu and Kashmir. A team of Mumbai Police, with assistance from local police in Poonch, arrested the duo.
